Mt. Everest Basecamp

Dear Family and Friends, we've decided to pursue our dream of trekking to Mt. Everest Basecamp for our Honeymoon! The Everest Base Camp journey begins and ends in Kathmandu. Nestled between mountains and plains, the city is alive with energy. We will explore villages dotted with fluttering prayer flags and become familiar with Nepalese culture.

 

We will spend several days hiking to surrounding villages, discovering remote monastic caves and acclimatizing the body to the elevation. We will see the infamous Khumbu Ice Fall and its towering seracs from a distance. From there, we hike 18,100 feet to the summit of Kala Patar for an unobstructed view of Everest's windblown summit.
