We plan to fly from Michigan to Cancun early the next morning after our wedding.
We will then shuttle to the beautiful Barcelo Maya Beach Hotel, where we will stay 6 nights, and 7 days.
Over our trip we plan to visit one of the NEW Seven Wonders of the World, Chichen Itz, to explore one of the most impressive archaeological discoveries on the planet ! We will marvel at the construction of massive structures such as the Kukulcan Pyramid, designed by Mayan architects without modern day technology; test the acoustical magic in the largest Ball Court in the Americas and walk the same paths as Mayan priests did centuries ago.
We also will take a break from the beach and step back in time to discover this Mayan world. Not only will we have the opportunity climb the tallest pyramid in the Northern part of the Yucatan Peninsula, but we'll also get to paddle through a lagoon, make a thrilling rappel descent, go for a swim in ancient cenotes and soar on a zip line above the Mayan Jungle.
