As many of you know, we had to dramatically change our wedding, due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We would have loved to celebrate with all of you; however, the safety of our loved ones is what is important to us, and for that reason, we ask you all to stay home and help us celebrate at a distance.

Originally, we had planned to celebrate the night at my family’s farm, with a bonfire, s’mores bar, cheese pizza, fireworks, and surrounded by our loved ones. While we are still getting married on June 20, 2020, it will now only be in the presence of our parents and siblings. We were also planning a trip to a Cancun resort on Mexico’s Riviera Maya coast for our honeymoon. There was supposed to be pampering at Miilé Resort Spa, followed by gourmet Mexican cuisine, an afternoon visiting monkeys rescued from animal testing and illegal animal trade, a visit to Chichen Itza, and, finally, a relaxing siesta on our private rooftop terrace; however, this trip has been canceled.

Many of you have been asking about a gift registry. Since we have everything that we need, Elijah and I registered through Honeyfund, in hopes of funding our honeymoon. While our original honeymoon plans were canceled, we would still love to travel, when it is safe! So, I shared a link to our Honeyfund page below. All gifts go directly to us (not to the hotel or anything) so don’t worry! Things are just broken-out like that to give people a chance to see what was previously planned.

Weirdly, after logging-in to make this update, I discovered that Honeyfund is holding a contest for couples with weddings impacted by COVID-19. We never anticipated getting married during a pandemic, but if we start our married life “for poorer & in sickness” there is only room to go up from there! We love all of you so much and cannot wait to celebrate soon, when it is safe!
