For our honeymoon we will be hiking the Kalalau Trail, a 22 mile out and back along the Nā Pali Coast of the island of Kauai -- a hike the Huffington Post named "the most incredible" and "epic" trail in the United States. (Also listed by Backpacker Magazine as one the "10 Most Dangerous Hikes" in the US. We will add it to out list!) Should we survive, we will spend time enjoying the food and learning about the culture of the Hawaiian people. We would like to see lava at Hawaii Volcanoes national park, sleep in a volcanic crater in Haleakala national park and SCUBA dive the Kahuna Canyon.
