Thailand and Cambodia

Our plans so far include 28 days in Thailand and 8 in Cambodia! In Thailand we are planning on visiting Bangkok, the ruins of the former capital of the Kingdom of Siam at Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, the Yi Peng lantern festival in Chiang Mai, the beach surrounded by limestone cliffs in Railay, the tiny party island Ko Phi Phi, one of the oldest rainforests in the world in Khao Sok National Park, a four day/four night diving liveaboard in the Andaman Sea off the west coast of Thailand, and relax and reflect on the month we just experienced with our toes in the sand on the beach in Khao Lak.

 

Before we get to Railay we are planning on spending eight days in Cambodia. We are hoping to be in Phnom Penh for their Independence Day on November 9th because we've read it's one hell of a celebration! After that we plan to spend 4 days in Siem Reap getting lost in Angkor Wat.
