For those of you coming from out of town...
WEATHER: San Francisco can be cold and foggy in August, especially at night. Be sure to bring a jacket or coat and be prepared to layer.
WHERE TO STAY: It can be challenging (and expensive) to get a hotel room in August due to the large numbers of tourists and international students in town at this time of year. Staying outside of town near a BART station (e.g. near SFO) is often much cheaper. The Civic Center BART is close to City Hall and our apartment.
