OUR LOVE STORY

It was the 3rd of July. I remember the exact moment he walked down a grassy hill towards me at the party. My heart literally dropped, I was mesmerized. I still remember exactly what he was wearing that day, but oddly enough he was feeling all the same emotions I was! It was almost as if, in that moment, we just knew. I was throwing a football with a friend, and Michael joined in. We hung out all that day playing yard games and getting to know each other. We played it cool. Both of us were trying to impress each other without giving away that we were extremely attracted to one another! The next day, I was invited to his friend Andrew Braun's Fourth of July Party. I wasn't going to go, but last minute I decided I should just go with my friend, because Michael would be there. Funny story is, I knew Michael before that day, as we had mutual friends growing up. But we never hung out. He did message me a few times in Jr. High, but the connection was just not ready to be made then. I hadn't seen or talked to him in years. I wasn't even sure he remembered who I was. When I awkwardly asked him, he said he knew exactly who I was and wasn't sure I remembered him! After that, we were like magnets. We spent the whole day playfully flirting and getting to know each other even more. We hung out for a straight month, until he finally made us official during Whaling Days. We survived the 6 months of a somewhat long distance relationship as he went to UW. Eventually we decided only seeing each other on the weekends just wasn't enough. I moved to Seattle to be with him, and we have lived together ever since. Fast forward about 8 years and he got down on one knee. We are each other's best friend and confidant. We are soulmates, and we are finally tying the knot.
