Choosing a gift can bring much stress

Almost like choosing my wedding dress

Since I’m so old and have three kids

I’ve already got most things for my digs

Don’t need no plates, or bowls, and such

But there is a thing we need very much

And that big need is to improve our home

Add a room, some paint, and a touch of chrome

Or knock it down and build a-new

Because our little family grew

With three kids, two dogs, and big fat cat,

We may need a new place to hang our hat

Asking for money can seem so crass

But I’ve tried to do it with a little class
