Hello friends and family,

We are honored you will share in our special day. I know many of you are reading this shaking your head wondering, why are they asking for a "honeyfund"? So let me take a moment to catch you up to speed.

In August of 2019 Gary was due to transfer duty stations locally here in the Norfolk Virginia region. Unfortunately, we were notified 2 weeks prior to his transfer that his orders were being modified and he was to take an unaccompanied tour overseas in Crete (Island of Greece) and he would be leaving December 1st. We were able to negotiate and the US Navy accommodated by allowing him to leave November 1st with the ability to return for our NYE wedding December 31st. He must leave back to Crete within days of being married.

So, we chose to delay our honeymoon and just make it a priority to see each other every 2.5 months. So YEP- we've got to travel to invest in each other. This is not what we envisioned our first year of marriage to look like. Not.At.All ! So in my true form and fashion, I turned every disappointment into an opportunity and in this case we both chose to love unselfishly. Our first year of marriage will be spent in other countries but we will love through it. I love Greek food and I can't wait to meet up with him overseas. Please pray a hedge of protection over him as he continues to serve our country and thank you for considering the opportunity to give.
