Chicago is a huge vibrant city and metropolitan area. It's well known for house music and electronic dance music, blues, jazz, comedy, shopping, dining, sports, architecture, highly-regarded colleges and universities, and premier cultural attractions.
As the hub of the Midwest, Chicago is easy to find with its picturesque skyline calling across the waters of the huge freshwater Lake Michigan, an impressive sight that soon reveals world-class museums, miles of sandy beaches, huge parks, public art, and perhaps the finest looking downtown in the world.
With a wealth of iconic sights and neighborhoods to explore, there's enough to fill a visit of months without ever seeing the end. The meaning of Chicago is only found in movement, through its subways and historic elevated rail, and eyes raised to the sky.
As you know, we both love an active travel experience with plenty of culture. We have been to many great cities big and small within the United States, but we still haven’t been to Chicago. With all of the world-class museums, Michelin-star restaurants, 200+ theaters, music, sports, comedy, and rich cultural heritage combined we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to visit the Windy City. We are very excited to finally take some time to visit Chicago and see a Cubs Game, a bucket list item for Glen.
