Costa Rica
We are planning a honeymoon full of adventure balanced with relaxation in Costa Rica.
We will start in the lush jungle of the Arenal Volcano National Park where we will enjoy an oasis of tranquility in the middle of the rainforest. We plan on taking morning yoga, waterfall and volcanic hikes, zip lining, enjoy farm to table meals, and other food and coffee tastings.
Next, we will relocate to the cloud forest region of Costa Rica. High on the Tilaran Mountain Range, Monteverde is one of the most fascinating destinations in Costa Rica. The area is cool, verdant, and rich in biodiversity with a multitude of microclimates. Here is where will enjoy the beautiful mountain side on horseback and visit local farms to enjoy local activities that could include milking cows for the first time, watching the cheese get made, picking coffee beans, or straining sugar cane for a sweet post-hike drink.
The Monteverde Reserve is among the most famous reserves in the world for its biodiversity, conservation, contributions, and scientific research. It holds 2.5% of the world’s biodiversity, and it is one of the most important private reserves in Costa Rica. Here we hope to explore the four ecological “Live Zones” with different ecosystems for hundreds of species of mammals, birds, butterflies, amphibians, reptiles, insects, and arachnids, as well as a large variety of plants like mosses, vines and trees of the Cloud Forest. Some say the sacred Quetzal bird can be found here and we hope to snag some photos to share with you if we stumble upon one.
Lastly, we will relocate to the stunning Papagayo Peninsula in Guanacaste to an all-inclusive resort for water exploration, spa treatments, Catamaran sunset tours, beach hikes, and plenty of sunshine!
We will take plenty of photos to share with you all!
