OUR STORY

Back in mid-late 2004 was when Erick and Cassandra first met. There are conflicting stories between the both of them. Cassandra says it was through Myspace at the time. Erick agrees that he did in fact ask Cassandra out on Myspace to their first date, however they had seen each other at local hang outs in Orange County prior. She unfortunately did not remember this. Their first date was at Javier’s in Irvine Spectrum. He remembers exactly what she wore that day. Cassandra was 20 years old at the time, while Erick was 25. Erick was struck by Cassandra and stumbled over his words and made himself look like a bumbling fool. He tried desperately to be interesting and charming and impress, with little success. They left the dinner as “friends.”

Erick had always been praying for a woman that God had prepared for him. Cassandra had been doing the same. They were still young and didn’t know that God works in mysterious ways. After some time had passed, in September of 2006 Erick and his friends had purchased tickets to go see John Pinette (Erick’s favorite comedian at the time) at an Irvine Comedy Club. Since he had an extra ticket, he decided to message Cassandra and see if she wanted to go. Cassandra, not remembering how horrible the last date they had gone on had went, responded to him that she would love to go. That night they laughed and laughed and created a lifelong connection. They dated off and on for a few years and once again, both of them being young, had gone on their own separate paths. Erick and Cassandra did not forget each other and were still very much friends. She had always hoped that they would be more, in fact her nick-name for Erick was “Mr. Right.” They had still kept in touch periodically between years of not speaking. Just like old friends do after not speaking for a long time. In 2015 they reconnected and picked right back up where they had left things. They continued to talk and visit one another for a few years until 2017 when they decided that they just might be right for one another. Cassandra had been living in Northern CA for a few years, but decided to move back down to Orange County. This is when Erick and Cassandra finally had the chance to grow together. They have gone through moves and through trials, but through all of it, they have discovered that they were made for one another.

On February 23rd of 2019, Erick asked Cassandra to marry him while scuba diving in Catalina. They are both thrilled to get to spend the rest of their lives together. They have asked God to be part of their marriage and life together. They know that Jesus is the key to a blessed marriage. Over the past 15 years Erick and Cassandra have both experienced life encounters, but they have always been great friends and now they have decided to become family. They love each other greatly and want to share the beginning of their lives together with friends and family, but most importantly in the eyes of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
