Christine Prentice & Jonnel Dawson met on March 21, 2015, at a mutually attended birthday party. Although his name was strange enough, the introduction was traditional. After offering to walk Christine to her car, Jonnel ultimately found success in the exchange.

That simple, gentleman-like gesture, a couple of weeks of texting, and a little scheduling led the couple to their first date. After an awkward start to include Jonnel arriving at a pitch-black house with a sleeping Christine inside, running into traffic or more like an infinite sea of brake lights on the beltway, spilled wine, and a close call with a bathroom, the date ended well. The ice has been broken ever since.

Needless to say, the two found conversation to be easy and weirdly authentic, the laughs genuine and hearty, the chemistry nearly tangible... 6 years later, we’ve sharpened one another.

Anyone who knows this pair understands that their relationship has a special kick to it. Despite all odds, the pair has shown great dedication, an abundance of love, sacrifice, compassion, and compromise.

We understand what marriage entails and wish to vow before God to hold our union in the highest regard, always putting God first. Our single, sincerest request from you is that you pray for us, our union, and our children.
