Greetings!
Welcome to our wedding website!
How they meet:
Ashley and Jon first met up in Bellingham at Western Washington University in 2013. Both avid dancers, they slowly got to know one another through friends, over crepes, and by dancing the nights away. When Ashley first confessed her feelings, Jon had just expressed feelings for one of her friends. It wasn’t the right time, but not now does not mean not ever. Then in March after seven months of a growing friendship, and a relationship later for Ashley, Jon took Ashley for a walk along Lake Union during a dance night at Om Fusion and ask her out. From there they continued to date, talk, and have been nearly inseparable ever since.
The proposal:
Jon started looking at rings in April of 2016. He took his time and designed the perfect ring with the help of Joseph Jewelers in Bellevue. One thing that must be known is that Ashley is impatient and snoopy, so Jon had to take every care when it came to planning this special surprise. He arranged for their friends, Jeff and Sam, to invite them on a fake camping trip the weekend of August 19th, while simultaneously having their other friends, Jason and Tori, invite them up to Bellingham for the weekend. With Jeff and Sam having asked first they agreed to go camping, and regretfully declined the invitation from Jason and Tori. The week of the supposed camping trip Sam informed Ashley that they would need to cancel due to a family emergency. Never one to have a free weekend, Ashley immediately suggested they take Jason and Tori up on their offer to visit Bellingham. Once up in Bellingham Ashley and Jon met up with Jason and Tori, they walked along the pier at boulevard park, where Ashley and Jon had shared some special moments, and enjoyed the sunset and the warm summer air. As the evening came to a close Jon asked Ashley to dance, while spontaneously (truly, this part was unplanned!) a group of musicians played on the dock. As they danced Jon led Ashley in a turn, and when she turned around he was on one knee with the ring. He asked, and she said: “About Time”!
We are beyond excited to be able to share this special day with you all.
