Greetings!

Hello friends and family,

We are honored to share our special day with you. Your presence is already gift enough, and while we're lucky to have a home full of everything we need, we have chosen a few items that would make our lives a little easier. Please delight in browsing our Honeyfund wish list, where you can contribute funds to our ideal honeymoon in lieu of or in addition to the universal registry, but please do not feel obligated to get anything! For those who haven't heard of Honeyfund, don't worry. It’s safe, secure, and easy. Feel free to contact us at bhelmic2@kent.edu or cplinnovations@yahoo.com if you need more info about how it works.

**Please note: Your safety is our main concern. If you feel unsafe or sick--don't feel guilty staying home. We love you and would rather you be safe than get sick! Additionally, masks are required across the state, so please bring one with you, but because we are now having an outdoor wedding, you're do not need to wear them unless you go inside to use the restroom. As of now, we have most things spread out and will have around 50 guests.**

The ceremony begins at 3:45pm on Saturday, October 3rd, with the reception to follow. Beer, wine, and seltzers will be provided, and if you'd like something stronger, feel free to bring whatever makes you happy. Come eat, drink, and watch us be married. :)

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Feel free to share this along with the hashtags #GetToLaPointe #BrittanyGetsCharlieHorsed and #HolyHelmickWe'reGettingMarried

To our out-of-state family and friends:

We are delighted to share the places we've explored, made memories, and come to adore as we've made Ohio our home. While you're in town, please enjoy these great dining, outdoor biking/walking trails, or sweet treats!

Here are some of our favorite places to eat nearby:

Breakfast: Artisan Coffee, Valley Cafe, Wild Goats Fresh & Funky Fine Dining (in Kent), Eye Opener, and The Blue Door Cafe.

Lunch or dinner or TACOS: Bistro of Green, Kasai, The Twisted Olive, Crave, Crave Cantina (yes, these are different), Cilantro Thai & Sushi, Beau's Grille, Taste of Bangkok, Barley House, 35 Brix, Diamond Deli, and Mustard Seed Market & Cafe. La Loma for the tacos!

Beer & wine (Obviously the most important but all have delicious food options, too!): Maize Valley Winery, Missing Falls Brewery, Thirsty Dog Brewing Co., Akronym Brewing, Royal Docks Brewing Co., Lock 15 Brewing Co.

Sweet Treats: Handel's Ice Cream, Pav's Creamery, Jubilee Donuts, Hartville Chocolate Factory, and Peace, Love & Little Donuts.

Don't forget to explore the wonderful parks Ohio has to offer like: Wingfoot Lake State Park, Quail Hollow, Springfield Bog Metro Park, Little Turtle Pond, and Munroe Falls Metro Park, or find your own by googling Stark or Summit County parks. There are so many to choose from!

*For flights & rental car information*

We live very close to Akron-Canton International Airport (CAK) and have no problem picking anyone up. We also usually have a spare car or two you're welcome to use. We are about 40 miles (one hour) from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), so that requires a little extra planning, but we can do our best to accommodate with some advance notice. That being said, Uber and Lyft are great options for this area, and for rental cars there are Enterprise, Budget, and Hertz.

If you have any questions regarding something we missed, please don't hesitate to ask! :)

Joshua Tree, CA, USA

Update (07/26): For our honeymoon, we are flying to Joshua Tree, CA. Then, road- tripping for one week, when it is safe to travel again (maybe spring 2021?), ending in Colorado Springs, CO with stops at Zion, the Grand Staircase, Monument Valley, and Pike's Peak. We are avoiding highways at all costs and hoping to have a relaxing time while checking out different parts of this beautiful country we call home.
