Hello Family and Friends,

We are thrilled to share our news with all of you. He said YES!

Who would have imagined a lawyer from Oregon (Go Ducks!) would fall for a German doctoral student from Stanford? I'm still unsure how we will survive college football season.

Maybe it's from similar upbringings, surrounded by fresh air, evergreen forests, and beautiful mountains. Or maybe it was our inner nerds secretly geeking out over a shared love for reading, knowledge, foreign and independent films, and hidden gem restaurants in San Francisco.

Whatever the reason, our journey began through a chance introduction in the middle of a dance floor, soon followed by moving into our amazing new apartment together, and now heading toward our future life as husband and husband.

But for that dream to continue we must embark on making sure ze German can stay in the United States. So as we prepare for our wedding we are also preparing for the change in Michael's immigration status. We decided to dedicate our Honeyfund to Michael's immigration expenses and any additional funds we will use for a honeymoon!
