Started when Michele Velazquez, owner of the world-renowned Marriage Proposal Planning company The Heart Bandits, began to receive a lot of inquiries for pop-up weddings, microweddings, and New York City elopements. The brides didn’t want a boring courthouse wedding, they were asking for unique venues like rooftops, art galleries, private gardens, etc. Of course, since they weren’t planning a full wedding, they didn’t have a huge budget. This sparked an idea with Michele! Why not reach out to amazing wedding venues and find out when they have down time on their schedules, and fill those slots with quick and easy pop-up weddings? That is how Pop The Knot was born!
