Hello friends, family, acquaintances, and others who may see this,

We are finally tying the knot this year! Since meeting in 2019, we have been through odd first dates, meeting each other’s families, sickness, buying and moving into our first home, home improvement projects, adopting a new kitten, and of course, the global pandemic. Our relationship is stronger than ever and continues to grow every day. We are eager to finally join hands in marriage and take the next step in our lifelong journey.

We have decided to wed in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Makyela is excited about the warm beachfront climate, street tacos, unlimited margaritas, and local ambiance. Alex is excited about the championship golf courses next to the resort (and all the other stuff too). More than anything, we are excited to travel, as it is something we have enjoyed so much in the past.

The ceremony will be a private affair, between just the two (soon to be) newlyweds and a few very close friends. We would love to be able to celebrate with everyone but with all the events of the past two years, we have decided to keep the affair intimate, and we look forward to celebrating with everyone later this year. We have much appreciated the understanding and support that we have received thus far with these non-traditional wedding arrangements.

We have been asked recently if we have registered for anything we might need for our new life together. As you know, we have been lucky enough to have a home together for the past year and a half. Thanks to this, our home is already full of the necessities, so we are foregoing a traditional registry. While the generosity does not go unappreciated, we just don’t see the need for more items in our home. Should you wish to still provide some sort of well-wished gift to us for our special day, we are registered with Honeyfund with the opportunity to help create some very special memories on our trip. Please do not feel that any gift is expected but will be gratefully accepted.

We understand that this is very unusual, and we appreciate the support of our friends and family.
