Greetings!
Hello our lovelies,
We did it! On February 9th 2022 we drove to Vegas and had our perfect, spooky trashy elopement of our dreams. It was exactly what we wanted after a two year long engagement. Paul of course wore his Evil Dead button up and Hannah walked down the aisle dressed in funeral black. After our ceremony we enjoyed an amazing dinner, our first time at a fancy shmancy restaurant and we left the next morning. Not hungover, not poor, just happy as can be. It was Vegas on a perfect last minute budget.
Two years ago we thought Paul might not make it. His fight with covid almost took him out. It was after his doctor said he was two days away from a coma or death that Hannah asked him to marry her. He said yes. A week after he healed she asked him again to make sure he remembered and that it wasn't just a fever hallucination. Thank goodness, it wasn't. Paul said yes again.
We love each other, we want to be in each other's lives forever, and we know that through any hardship we want to be united for one another.
So here we are! Married, healthy, happy, together. And we are so grateful to have you all in our lives. We wish you could have been there with us.... but we knew this was something we needed to do intimately and privately. We do plan on celebrating with everyone when it feels safe to do so.
In the mean time, we have had a lot of people ask us what gifts they could send us. We feel so blessed to already have the necessities a newly married couple should need. But the one thing we don't have is the financial freedom to travel. Our dream is to have a honeymoon in Japan. We know it'll probably be at least a year or two before we can make this happen, but it's all we've ever wanted.
We do not expect anything from anyone. We understand times are not easy for all of us at this exact moment. But if you do want to contribute, we would be eternally grateful. Even a dollar gets us closer to our dream!
We love you all. We appreciate you all. We are luckier knowing each and everyone of you. Our hearts are full, we're ready to start the rest of our lives, and we're so happy that you'll be a part of that.
With love and gratitude,
Mr. and Mrs. Meyd
