SURPRISE!

"Welcome to the wedding of Trey Nathan Jones & Michael Steven Brown. What was going to be a 100 person wedding on the beach in Florida in October, turned smaller gathering in NH on the harbor, has ultimately turned into this intimate backyard wedding two months before schedule. Rather than postponing into an unpredictable future with this virus, Trey & Michael decided that what matters most is the simple and true fact that they are more than ready to get married. That all of those things, like having a huge wedding with all of their family and friends there to celebrate is a nice to have, the whole point in this all is that at the end of the day, two people are committing to a future together." -Minister Raya Al-hasmi

We got married on August 14th, 2020, which was our 5 year anniversary from the day we met by Michael's childhood best friend, Raya Al-hasmi. We had a small ceremony in our backyard in Atlanta with few family and friends. Only a few of our attending guests knew that they were coming to our house for a wedding, just a backyard BBQ, leading to the huge surprise we had hoped for!

After a beautiful ceremony by Raya, we engaged in a full Mexican buffet and cocktails, followed by a rainbow cake-cutting (that we knocked over!) and a champagne toast by Trey's father, Barry.
