While the pandemic has put our plans for a honeymoon this summer on hold, we still plan to honeymoon in summer 2022! As avid shark week watchers, ocean IMAX visiters, and general nerds. It seemed only fitting for us to cross off a location from our bucket list with our honeymoon while visiting Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.

Ecuador, one of the smaller Latin American countries, is known for its biodiversity, its colonial cities, and the Galapagos islands. The capital, Quito, will be the main arrival point for our trip, and we plan to take some time to soak in the colonial history behind the buildings, shops, and museums. From there we will travel to the Galapagos Islands, more than 621 miles from the coast of mainland Ecuador. The islands are known for their large tortoises, and Charles Darwin's visit. We will spend our time taking in the unique ecosystem and becoming best friends with all of the wildlife.
