We’re getting married!
Ok so most of you already knew this but what you don’t know is that we decided to locally “elope” on our 1 year anniversary.
It’s not a true elopement because we are telling you all about it but because of covid no one will be able to be there :( and we don’t plan on having a true reception/ceremony right now due to ya know….global pandemic and what not.
May 4th, 2021 will be our 1 year anniversary, it is also Star Wars day ~ “May the Fourth be with you” instead of May the Force be with you ~ As everyone knows, we are both huge Disney nerds and Star Wars fans so this day is perfect for us.
A huge thanks to our parents for blessing us with wedding funds! We have been able to hire a photographer, cake designer, and florist. This makes it so that we get the traditional elements of a wedding even on such shorts notice and in the middle of a pandemic!
The only thing we are missing is…you guys❤️ we want to be able to celebrate with you all but we weren’t quite sure how to navigate that right now. Ultimately we settled on a drive by “reception.” I’m sure you have heard of drive by birthdays and baby showers but I have yet to hear of it for a wedding so we decided to invent our own thing!
Saturday, May 8th from 1pm-4pm we will be out in front of my parents house with our families and would love for you to drive by (car decorated or not) and honk and yell all your wedding blessings! If you feel safe enough to get out of your vehicle you are more than welcome to stop by and chat for a few, we would love to see each and every one of you, from 6ft away of course!
We are asking for nothing but your presence but if you feel so inclined to buy us a present we are asking for donations towards a honeymoon/babymoon. We would LOVE to go to Disneyland before the baby comes to celebrate as husband and wife!
If you can’t make it we would also love a card or note sent to us in the mail with your wise words for marriage. We love giving and receiving greeting cards (especially Disney ones) and have a huge box full of all our birthday cards and other special occasions, we can’t wait to share them all with our kids someday. :)
