We are happy to have our close friends and family join us on our special day. Many will be traveling to Key West, Florida. Key West, the southernmost point in the United States, is famous for watersports, lively nightlife, beaches, historic sites and its pastel, conch-style architecture.
* Activities*
There are many activities/tours/sightseeing guests can enjoy while they stay in Old Town Key West. I have shared a link from TripAdvisor.com.
* Getting Around the small Island*
-Bus
There are several public bus routes servicing the island. Fares start at $2 one-way, or visitors can pick up a day pass for $4.
-Taxis and rideshare
Both taxis and ride-sharing companies like Uber and Lyft are readily available.
-Driving
Parking is available at most hotels and rental homes, however, driving isn’t recommended on the island. The streets are small, and public parking is extremely hard to come by. Walk, bike or take the bus instead.
* Staying at Key West:*
During the month of December, Key West can be slightly costly due to peak season. Booking as soon as you can guarantee the best rate.
Ideally, we recommend staying within Key West, it will be close to the venue and many different attractions. If you opt to stay in Islamorada, Marathon, or Key Largo- the drive may be 30 minutes to over an hour.
