Hello friends and family,

We are so excited to welcome a little baby into our family. We feel so fortunate to have the support of so many people in our lives and that our baby will be surrounded by a lot of love.

With that love often comes the pressure to buy lots of new things, even when there are perfectly good used things all around us. Our consumer culture pressures us to believe that new is always best and that babies and children need a lot of "stuff" to feel nurtured and loved. We want to relieve this pressure on our loved ones (and the environment!) by encouraging you to gift us with things your kids (or someone else's kids) have already used and enjoyed.

We would absolutely love to received items from thrift stores, Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, your attic, etc. Don't have time for that or want to just give cash? My venmo username is @ElizaBarry.

That being said, do not feel pressured at all to give us any gift! With the pandemic over the past year, I think we can all agree that your presence is a present like never before.

This registry set up is a bit unusual - it forces me to enter a price so everything is listed at $1. Go ahead and mark items off the list (it helps us keep organized so we can thank you) as you get them in the category where they best fit.
