In May of 2018, right before their 5th anniversary, Sam surprised Mimi with an unplanned vacation. In secret, he coordinated with her job to get her out of work early, and helped her pack her bags to head to the airport. Unbeknownst to Mimi, they were heading on a vacation they had been planning together since they first started dating. When their Uber arrived at the airport, Sam revealed that they were going to Iceland! And apparently, that wasn't the only surprise. As soon as their Iceland road trip began, Sam proposed to Mimi on a vista point on the island, and she said yes!
