Greetings!
Dearest friends and family,
We have postponed our wedding. We hope you are staying safe and healthy. We cannot wait to celebrate our Marriage with you at a later date!
This is our 2020 Wedding story and how the entire year, inlcuding coronavirus, has impacted our wedding.
At the beginning of the year we were so excited for our wedding and to start the next chapter of our lives together. We had a beautiful wedding planned with the help of our parents and closest friends... and then February came. We found out that our original Wedding Venue, Noah's event Venue, permanently closed their doors without a phone call or reimbursement. We had paid our wedding venue off and lost out on all of the money.
Fortunately we were able to book a new venue very quickly for our May 2020 wedding. We once again were so excited that we got to have the weddign of our dreams! Then, March rolled along and the Covid-19 outbreak hit the U.S. We patiently waited to send out our wedding invites to all 200 of our guests. Unfortunately we never sent them out since the stay at home order/quarantine stayed in effect. We had to cancel the Bridal shower, Bachelorette, and Bachelor parties in March, April, and May.
Now it is May. On top of all of our wedding events being postponed or canceled, the Bride lost her job due to COVID, the Groom was furloughed, and we found out that we only have 6 months to find a new home to live in as our lease was not extended. We had planned on purchasing a home early next year, but now it is all up in the air as we need to find work in order to qualify t purchase our first home.
Due to all of this we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone our wedding until further notice, but it is looking like it will be next year in May on our original date so that we can invite all of our closest family and friends o celebrate with us. Since we really want to be married, we have thought about having a more intimate wedding ceremony. As far as our reception, we know that we have invested so much time and money into making our day special, to not have the wedding celebration we want and planned for.
As far as our lives, we are determined that The Bride will find a better career opportunity and the Groom will finish his Bachelors degree strong. We know that wherever we end up living, that family is what makes a house a home and we will eventually own our first home.
We are both hopeful that we will be married soon and that our future wedding celebration is full of love and all of our friends and family there to celebrate, but for now we know this is the best to everyone's health and safety.
Winning Honeyfunds "Mr. Wonderful Wedding Rescue" would mean the world to us. We have put our heart and soul into our wedding day to make it a beautiful love celebration to share with each other and our families and are looking forward to still having that day come. Winning any aspect of this would make us absolutely grateful and anything will help as we have already lost out on so much!
We are optimistic as to what the future holds for us and know that everything happens for a reason. Everyone please be safe and know that we are thinking about your health and well-being. We will update you as we have further information.
With Love,
Brandon & Megan
