OUR STORY:

10/10/2017

Our first date included sweet potato beer and a healthy helping of mac n' cheese at one of our favorite QC breweries, Bent River. Zach kept the receipt in case this first date turned into something more!

1/27/2019

Zach proposed in the living room of our home with a heartfelt video for Carissa on her birthday. After sharing the big news with our family, we headed to Iowa City for a surprise dinner with some of Carissa's college friends and tickets to a sold-out Dawes concert at the Englert.

3/3/2020

After finding out we'd be moving to Colorado Springs, we set out on a house-hunting trip and decided to get hitched a little early! We signed our marriage license near tree line on Pikes Peak and celebrated with dinner and Dave Hause concert in Denver that night.

Not what we had planned, but perfect nonetheless. We cancelled our wedding due to COVID and eloped instead! With our parents in tow, we once again made the journey up Pikes Peak and said our vows on a sunny fall day with a mountain view.

We're excited to host a laid-back "weddiversary" to celebrate with all of our favorite people along the Rock River! Join us for tacos, beer, and a game of Rolle Bolle (a Belgian tradition).
