Greetings!
Hello friends and family,
We are so appreciative of all the love and support you've given us as individuals and as a newly married couple.
Our journey to falling in love was a long time in the making, but it was quick to overcome us once our worlds collided in 2017. After a 5-hour first date, we were completely inseparable. Fast forward a few months and we were already moving in together and starting a family with our first fur baby, Quincy. For those of you who follow us on social media or spend time with us in person, you know that we now have a small menagerie of animals and a place that we've transformed into a home.
Our paths to becoming our true selves and vowing to spend our lives together hasn't always been the most traditional. After initially planning on having a large wedding in October of 2019, we decided that we simply couldn't wait. After much consideration, we hosted a very small, private ceremony on the ocean cliffs of San Francisco on October 20th, 2018. While we missed the 250 or so friends and family we so wanted to include, it ended up being one of the most beautiful moments we could have had to fully combine our lives and futures.
Back to our non-traditional path to marriage, we never sent announcements and we held off on a honeymoon. Truthfully, we've gone back and forth over the last eight months on the importance of including all of our friends and family in a wedding ceremony or reception. While we'd like to eventually invite everyone to celebrate, we decided that we'd like to prioritize an unforgettable honeymoon and then start saving for a house and to expand our family to include a child. That path will be full of expenses and obstacles but it's what we've both wanted for a long time now.
We know how much many of you wanted to share in our special day and we love you for it. If you would like to contribute to this honeymoon adventure, we would be so thankful. You all mean the world to us and we wouldn't be who we are today, both as individuals and as a couple, without your love.
If you can't contribute now but would like to help out, never fear! We'll be heading to Kauai in April of 2020, so there's still time.
Love,
The Tilfords
