Our Story

Match.com is how this story began. Name some of your favorite shows was the question used to break the ice. After that, days and nights of communication followed for about a month. Until the special day of June 25, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. This was the night earmarked for our first meeting with each other. We met at Garibaldi's Italian restaurant in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Little did we know that this day and this place would become two of the most special things in our heart. Fast forward to June 25, 2018. Same day, same place, same time. Joshua chose this special day and place to propose to the woman that his heart loved. Not knowing when would be the right time, he chose a plate to help him choose when the time was right. The plate had a picture of us, with a message that state "Make this day the beginning of our forever." With a special red heart with the words "Will you marry me" inside of it. Contessa's plate was covered with pasta. Unbeknownst to her, she was eating off of a plate that would change her life forever. Although not quite as planned, Contessa eventually uncovered this special message. Her eyes and face gleamed with joy. As she looked up, Joshua went to a knee and proposed that she grant him the blessing of spending the rest of his life with her. The fact that we are here today lets you know the answer. Now we are inviting you to our new special day. May 4, 2019. The day we commit before God to spend the rest of our lives together.
