Greetings!

It rained for two weeks in Chattanooga during the month of June, but on Friday, June 21, the day of the Summer Solstice, the sun came out as Ian and I were married. One of my dearest friends, Laura McCurdy united us with a powerful Apache Blessing as Ian's friend of many years, Jake Laufle stood witnessing. Sophie Dog was there as well dressed in a pink bow-tied collar and a leash filled with lavender. Our ceremony was short, beautiful, and just the way the two of us had envisioned. We joined a small gathering of friends and family (those who lived in close proximity of Chattanooga) at our humble home in North Chattanooga. We drank, ate, laughed, and danced- it was beyond enjoyable and overall the way that Ian and I had wished. Although we missed a lot of our far away family and friends, we had good intentions on the way we chose to create our wedding. To be honest, we did so in order to save for our future. As hard as it was to make the decision to keep the wedding small, we did so with our future strictly in mind. We hope that you all have the most positive understandings for us and we cherish those understandings immensely. We were reluctant to create any sort of registry because of the way in which we held our wedding, but the consensus from many family and friends was that we needed to make one- for their common reason of "just because." We do not need many items but we are saving for the future- a house, a honeymoon...a life together!

We love you all and cannot wait to give you hugs as a married couple!
