Greetings!

Hello, SMU Law community! The Board of Advocates is excited to plan our upcoming Banquet at the Dallas Arboretum. We hope to celebrate with a social distanced outdoor gala at the Alex Camp House, a two-story historical home with a large garden lawn overlooking White Rock Lake, as long as coronavirus regulations permit.

This is our big thank you to coaches for their service and students for their passion for the Board of Advocates. Our coaches meet with SMU students several times a week to prepare us for competitions in mock trial, moot court, client counseling, and arbitration. SMU Law advocacy coaches are unpaid attorney volunteers from the Dallas community, and this banquet is our only opportunity to thank over twenty coaches for months of advocacy training.

At the BOA Banquet, the Board of Advocates also announces the winners of the Order of Barristers, Outstanding 1L and 2L Advocates of the Year, Professor Fred C. Moss Outstanding Graduating Advocate of the Year, Coach of the Year, and BOA Officer of the Year. These are tremendous honors that students and coaches work very hard to earn throughout the year.

Please join us in rewarding the hard work of many students and Dallas attorneys.

Thank you very much for your support! We are so grateful that you are joining us in celebration of student advocacy.
