  The Pyrenees Mountains house hot springs, the densest collection of Roman churches, and much of the areas in Spain that were never conquered by the Moors. Help us mountaineer the Pyrenees and soak

• One Night Stay at Montserrat Monastery

  Staying at the only monastery I've heard of that's built into a mountainside

• 1 night in Barcelona

• 1 night in Valencia

  There are probably many reasons to go to Valencia, but we're going for one: Paella!

• 2 nights in Granada

  The location of the last Muslim dynasty on the Iberian peninsula--the Nasrid--Granada has some of the most beautiful hybrid Muslim/Spanish architecture in the world, including the pictured Alhambra

• 1 night in Ronda

  The "New Bridge" of Ronda was built to the bottom a 390-ft deep chasm in 1759 with a scenic torture chamber looking out over Tajo Canyon. We want to spend the night there.

• 2 nights in Sevilla

• A week's stay at Ponta Delgada

  Our honeymoon wraps up with a week on the autonomous Portuguese tropical archipelago of Madeira--just off the coast of Africa. We've found a valley cottage with views of the Atlantic.
