We will be deep within a 150 million-year-old Malay rainforest for the chance to see wild orangutans, proboscis monkeys, hornbills, and pygmy elephants. Then, we will take off to learn about Balinese and Sumbanese culture, food, and landscapes while indulging in a mix of luxury and wild adventure.

• 1-Night at Shangri-La in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

  After 30 hours of travel, for our first night of the honeymoon, we will be staying in the coastal Bornean city of Kota Kinabalu before we depart for the rainforest the next day.

• 4-Nights at Borneo Rainforest Lodge

  Borneo Rainforest Lodge is an award-winning lodge in the heart of one of the world's oldest rainforests, Danum Valley. It provides guests with a unique experience to see endemic and endangered species

• 5-Nights at COMO Uma in Ubud, Bali

  5 nights in a pool villa in a luxurious central Bali hotel. Features a private swimming pool with a sprawling sundeck and spectacular views across the valley below.

• 1-Night at Sama Sama in Kuala Lumpur

  In between Borneo and Bali, we will spend one night in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to break up the long day of travel.

• 7-Nights at Alamayah on the Island of Sumba

  For the mindful explorer, Alamayah is a unique 5-star boutique retreat escape set in a remote beachside village in Southwest Sumba. Alamayah is a harmonious blend of opulence and nature.

• 2-Nights at Samaya Seminyak

  At the conclusion of our honeymoon, we will spend 2 nights in the beach town of Seminyak, Bali at the stunning Samaya hotel.

• Treetop Canopy Walk

  Walk across hanging bridges 1000ft in length and suspended 90ft above the forest floor to catch a breath-taking view of the primary rainforest for the chance to see a diverse array of birds & wildlife

• Waterfall & Rock Pool Rainforest Trek

  We will trek to the magical “Fairy Falls" for a refreshing dip into a natural rock pool after a day of adventure.

• Orangutan Rainforest Trek

  Trek through the rainforest with an experienced guide to seek out orangutans in their natural habitat and to learn how they survive within this protected tropical rainforest area.

• Riverside Massage in the Bornean Danum Valley

  Influenced by the Dusun Culture, the Bornean aged old massage combines stretching and thumb pressure, and aims to relieve tension and improve blood circulation after a long day of rainforest trekking.

• Rainforest Lunch

  A private dining experience amongst the trees with the freshest and most seasonal local produce available. This dining experience is perfect for a romantic meal and the opportunity to see wildlife.

• Traditional Market Tour

  Explore an active traditional market where locals haggle over regional produce including meat, fruit, vegetables and a variety of colourful textiles and clothes.

• Water Purification Ceremony in Bali

  We will be guided through the Hindu purification ceremony in a 1000-year-old temple. We will make and present offerings and join in the saying of traditional prayers at the Sebatu Holy Spring.

• Keliki Village Tour

  Keliki is a village near Ubud on the Indonesian island of Bali. Explore the village, set amongst rice paddies and steep ravines in the central foothills of the Gianyar regency, with a local guide

• Couples Massage in Bali

  There's no better way to celebrate a honeymoon than with a relaxing massage after a day of sightseeing!

• Tanah Lot Temple Sunset Excursion

  Visit the Tanah Lot sea temple in time for a pink Balinese sunset & explore the floating temple, Taman Ayun.

• Culture + Art Tour of Ubud

  We will have many internal flights on this trip: Kuala Lumpur - Kota Kinabalu (round trip), Kota Kinabalu - Lahad Datu (round trip), Kuala Lumpur - Denpasar, & Denpasar - Kota Tambolaka

  We will need special gear for our Bornean safari including waterproof boots, mosquito-proof clothing, leech socks, picaridin spray, & more!

• Luggage

  We are in need of new luggage (cabin-sized & checked bag sized) for our honeymoon expedition.

• Nikon Binoculars

  High-quality binoculars for spotting orangutans, proboscis monkeys, and hornbills in Borneo

• Sony Alpha Mirrorless Camera

  A camera to capture photo and video from our honeymoon adventure.
