We’re so excited to celebrate with you and wanted to share a few helpful details to make your day as smooth as possible. Sydney Marathon – Sunday 30 August: The Sydney Marathon will be taking place the day after our wedding. As a result, accommodation in the city may be limited or more expensive than usual. We recommend booking early or considering accommodation slightly outside the CBD. For details on road closures, public transport changes, and clearways, please visit the link provided. Getting to the Church: Parking at the Church is limited and primarily street parking (paid). We recommend allowing extra time if you plan to drive. Alternatively, the light rail stops very close to the Church, making public transport a convenient option. After the Wedding Mass: Following Mass, please join us for afternoon tea in the Church courtyard before the reception. Lunch Options Nearby: If you’re looking for somewhere to eat between events, Surry Hills has a number of great pubs and cafes (Tilly May’s is one of our favourites). Circular Quay also offers a wide range of options (Wahlburgers is another favourite of ours). There is a set of stairs just a few doors down from the reception venue that leads directly to Circular Quay. For the reception, we recommend parking at: Opera House Car Park 2A Macquarie Street, Sydney. This is a short walk to the venue. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RECEPTION IS COCKTAIL - while there will be seating available, it is not a sit down meal and we would recommend bringing comfy shoes.
