More Information
Children As much as we love your little ones, our wedding day will be adults only. As parents of three girls ourselves, this wasn’t an easy decision and we’ve arranged childcare for our own children too. We really want everyone to be able to relax, enjoy a few drinks, hit the dance floor and celebrate with us. Thank you so much for understanding. ⸻ Plus Ones Due to venue capacity, we can only accommodate the guests named on your invitation during the day. If your partner hasn’t been invited to the daytime celebrations, they are very welcome to join us for the evening reception. Thank you for understanding. ⸻ Dress Code Summer Formal We’re aiming for a timeless, elegant feel and would love our guests to dress for the occasion. Think suits and ties for the gentlemen, and full-length dresses for the ladies. We know August can be warm, so please don’t feel you need to wear a tuxedo or anything too heavy. We’d much rather everyone felt comfortable while still embracing the occasion. ⸻ Accommodation As August is one of the busiest times of year in the Cotswolds, we’d recommend booking accommodation sooner rather than later. Many hotels, cottages and guest houses can be reserved well in advance through Booking.com and similar websites, often with the option to pay closer to your stay date. We’ve put together a list of nearby accommodation options, but you’re welcome to stay wherever suits you best. ⸻ Welcome Drinks Many of our wedding party, close friends and family will be making a trip of it and joining us in the Cotswolds the evening before the wedding. We’ll be having a relaxed get-together on Wednesday evening for a few drinks, nibbles and a catch-up before the big day. There is absolutely no obligation to join us, but anyone who happens to be in the area would be very welcome. We’ll share further details a little closer to the date.
