Hello Everyone! While our initial plan was to have a wedding with all friends and family, it was an impossible task to find a date that worked for everyone closest to us. We know that anyone who has ever planned a wedding can appreciate the saddening task it is to have to accept you know people you love cannot be at your wedding when deciding on a date. This brings us to December 14, 2024 - focusing the day on starting our married life together, and taking time through the coming years to have focused quality time with everyone when we can see you all! We have been asked by many for our "registry" to help us on our way to married life. We really want to ensure there is absolutely no obligation or expectation to contribute, but if anyone would like to, we would ask for a contribution toward our Honeymoon. We have all we need in our home, but we always value more experiences! Thank you for your love, friendship, and support - we love you all! Paul & Julie van der Sloot

Where should we go?!

We love to travel and see the world! We have been lucky enough to see 10 countries together so far, and cannot wait to see more! Our criteria for locations need to include: warmth, the ocean, beaches, animals, and adventurous activities! Please send a note on where you think we should go!

• Refreshments

  From Turkish Coffee to a Mai Tai in Hawaii, there is something about having a beverage "like the locals do" to feel more a part of the places we go!

• Local Food Experiences

  Trying new food in the countries we visit is a great way to learn more about different parts of the world. From street food to restaurants, we love to taste our way through our travels!

• Leonard Love

  Leonard is our little fur-munchkin, and unfortunately cannot go on the Honeymoon with us :(. However, he can play all day at the kennel, and get extra treats to ensure he has the best time!

• Hiking & Exploring

  Julie gets a bit "step obsessed" on vacations. Being more active every day is something we really enjoy (even Paul)! From using WIFI to not get lost, to hiking up volcanos - it's all an experience!

• Snorkel, Scuba & Sail

  We love being in the water! Whether it is snorkelling from the land or a boat, taking a full day to go scuba diving, or sailing with breeze, we can't wait to see some amazing parts of the ocean!

• Animal Adventures

  We have soft spots for animals! Whether we end up hanging out with elephants in Thailand, or sea lions in the Galapagos, interacting with animals around the world is something we are excited for!

• History & Sightseeing

  We've ridden bikes to taste cheese through Amsterdam and have walked through the Ancient City of Ephesus in Turkey. Learning the history and culture of new places we see is part of the fun!

• Accommodations

  Our favourite stay so far was in a Volkswagen Van in Amsterdam (true story – ask us sometime, haha)! Maybe this time will be a tent in the jungle, or maybe a bungalow over the ocean in Bora Bora...

• Airfare

  If only we didn't have to spend hours on a plane to experience the amazing places this world has to offer... but here we are!
