Our story We sat across from each other in 6th grade. We’d share glances and then look down and smile but we never spoke more than a word to one another. We moved on with our lives from there. Each feeling heartbreak, loss, a sense of emptiness. Lexii never lost her crush on Chad. He was her very first and he remains just that. Years went by and Chad “popped up” literally on her screen. She knew just then who he was and told herself that if he spoke to her and there was a connection even in the slightest she wouldn’t let go. Five hours of talking and getting to know each other she knew, that he was who she had needed in her life. That he was the one that made all the tragedies in her life worth it. And now, having a beautiful family and loving each other more and more as the days and years have past they’ve finally gotten to this moment. They were “set free” from each other and somehow found their way back. Just like living a fairy tale, this love is pure, but most of all. Real.
