Welcome aboard! We look forward to our wedding and are so happy to have you celebrating with us! Follow along as we embark on our married life adventure together by cruising the Bahamas with our dog Bodhi aboard the Hatteras boat we are restoring, which we have named La Luna. As a couple we have been preparing for this adventure on the high seas for over a year. We both attended the Chapman School of Seamanship. Jay will serve as Captain and Lisa will be First Mate. Bodhi will be barking orders as our onboard Communications Engineer!

The Abacos Islands, The Bahamas

We were the best of friends since 5th grade, sitting together in school and even going to the same college. The friendship has evolved into love and embarking on a new life together as a married couple. Our first sailing trip together was to the Florida Keys at age 18. It’s time to head out to sea together again. We’re beyond excited to bring our dream honeymoon to life. We will be cruising across the Atlantic Ocean to the Bahamas on board a boat we have lovingly restored, La Luna. We will live on board, making our way to the northeastern Bahamas at Abacos. • Bodhi's Travel Expenses

  Honeymooning with our dog! Bodhi gets to go with us! He is a great sea dog and loves being on the boat. Bodhi even alerts us to dolphins! Sponsor his travel permit animport fee, or required vet check

• Provisions for the Honeymoon

  Groceries in the Bahamas are 178% more expensive and not readily available in many areas we will travel. We will try to take most our food with us on the boat and do some fishing too.

• Fuel for Cruising Aboard the Hatteras

  Boat cruising means we live on board the boat so fueling up for the honeymoon is important. What we save on airfare we spend on fuel. We promise to buy carbon credits!

• Dinghy Fuel

  A dinghy will be used to get us from our anchorage to shore and will also be used for exploring inlets, reefs and other shallow areas.

• Walkers Cay Dockage - Legendary Location

  Our first overnight is also where we will clear customs into the Bahamas!! Walker's is only 97.7 nautical miles from home but we will cross 6 hours of open ocean and the Gulfstream to get there.

• Green Turtle Cay - Dockage Bluff House Marina

  We usually anchor out but with your help we will secure the boat for 2 nights at the docks at the stunning Bluff House Beach Resort & Marina to resupply, do maintenance and enjoy a dinner onshore.

• Golf Cart - Green Turtle Cay

  Two days of Golf cart rentals to do some sightseeing. This is the only mode of motorized transportation on land.

• Miss Emily's Blu Bee Bar

  We will stop by Miss Emily's and have her famous, and the original, Goombay Smash as well as some fresh conch salad

• Pineapples Bar and Grill

  Buy our lunch and cool frozen beverages at Pineapples Bar and Grill. We will enjoy them by the bar pool after a long morning of touring New Plymouth

• Dinner-Green Turtle Cay Resort

  While in dock at the Bluff House Beach Resort we will take a break from cooking and have a romantic dinner and at the renowned Green Turtle Club.

• No Name Cay

  We'll swim with Bahama's wild pigs on No Name key! Buy us lunch and some frozen drinks at Big O's.

• Guana Cay - dockage at Orchid Bay

  Orchid Bay Yacht Club is a great place to tie up for a few days. We will enjoy cruising around town in a golf cart to see the sights and enjoy the local scene.

• Golf Cart at Guana Cay

  A golf kart will allows us to see all of New Plymouth and enjoy Nippers and Grabbers

• Grabbers Dinner on Gauna Cay

  Sponsor a date for the honeymooners at Grabbers and we will enjoy some awesome food and a romantic sunset!

• Nippers Beach Bar and Grill

  We will golf cart over to Nippers and enjoy the awesome view, sip Nipper's Juice, hang out on the beach and watch for famous people

• Elbow Cay Hope Town @ Hope Town Inn and Marina

  Dockage at Hope town Inn and Marina

• Golf Cart - Elbow Cay

  Golf Cart on Elbow allows us to explore the island.

• Elbow Cay dockage @ Seaspray

  The epic beauty of the last handcranked light house in the world. With your gift we will dock at Sea Spray Marina.

• Tahiti Beach: Sting Rays and Libations

  Treat the honeymooners to specialty frozen drinks after basking in the sun on the pink sand beach and a swiming with magnificent sting rays and (if we are lucky) green turtles.

• Breakfast at the Terrace - Marsh Harbor

  With your help we will enjoy an awesome breakfast served water front at The Terrrace and Pool bar at Marinaville

• Dinner at FireFly

  This is an epic resort and restuarant. We will anchor off shore and dingy into this fabulous Restaraunt

• Marsh Harbor dockage at Abaco Beach Resort

  Tie up for 2 nights and enjoy some land time and replenish fuel and water at one of the nicest marinas in the Bahamas. Time for some boat maintenance while in dock.
