We're Getting Married!

Welcome Family and Friends

Hello friends and family, As you know, this year is not going as anyone planned, and that includes our wedding. While we had hoped to celebrate with all of you in person, the best we can ask is that you join us for our live streaming event (and the great thing about that is you don't even have to get dressed up!). Likewise, we were looking forward to celebrating our nuptials with drinking, eating, and dancing through the night. Alas, that will have to wait until the world is in a safer place for everyone. For now, we have set up this Honeyfund to help us with the eventual expenses that we'll have for some in-person shenanigans, as well as the eventual honeymoon we're hoping to take to SE Asia - Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. We're also going to take a "mini-moon" trip to the Oregon Coast immediately after our wedding, just so it feels celebratory. We're lucky to already have a home full of everything we need, so if you want to help out with the mini-moon, honeymoon, and/or eventual party, we'd appreciate that tremendously. Matt and Eric immediately bonded over their love of food, especially noodles, dumplings, and spicy dishes from southeast Asia. Add to that a love of the water and tropical climates, and a trip to Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos sounds perfect for them. They are hoping to spend a few weeks in southeast Asia slurping noodles, scuba diving gorgeous reefs, exploring cultural landmarks, and enjoying their time as newlyweds. This trip has been postponed until next year, but we are doing mini-honeymoon in the Pacific Northwest after the wedding. We are still saving up for this dream trip to southeast Asia, hoping 2021 will be good to us all and allow not only a party but a full honeymoon!

  We're hiring a photographer for our wedding day, and we'll need one for the eventual reception!

  The place we found is breathtaking, and it's the place where we had our second date.

  Y'ALL - One tier will be guava, and the other lemon with raspberry jam <starts drooling> from Azucar Bakery.

• Teardrop Trailer Rental

  We'll be renting a travel trailer for our mini-moon. (Eric said he'd never be into glamping, Matt must be rubbing off a little bit)

• National Parks Pass

  We're planning to stop by a few national parks along our way - help us out by getting us a pass!

• Beverages

  We'll drink and be merry.

• Good food from the Pacific Northwest

  Of course we'll want to eat some great seafood while we're visiting the Oregon Coast and Portland!

• Airfare Fund

  Help us get there...though we can't promise we're going to come back.

• Resort and Hotel Fund

  To cover all our nights in honeymoon heaven.

• Drinks on the beach

  Cheers with us as we soak up the sun (Matt promises to wear a wide brimmed hat and ALL the sunscreen)

  We'll need to rent tables, chairs, etc. for the reception.

  A gift of support in case we need to reschedule due to the unexpected like illness, weather, or disaster.
