  There is a long list of items below that Casey researched and wrote funny captions for instead of looking for freelance work. But you can keep it simple with a much-appreciated gift of cash, too!

• Arruda Acores Pineapple Plantation Tour and Tasting

  They have lots of pineapple plantations here, and they make all kinds of food and even booze out of 'em! We're both going to feel like this dude.

• Chalet de tia Mercês Tea Shop

  There are tea plantations around the village of Furnas, where the 20 different mineral waters add tons of complexity and change the color of teas, too. Pinky fingers up, everyone!

• Hike and Canoe at Lagoa das Furnas

  There's a trail around the second largest lake on Sao Miguel Island as well as a gorgeous gothic cathedral just hiding out. Stock our backpacks with snacks and keep us well-fed post-hike!

• Cozido (Food Cooked in a Volcano)

  Yeah, you read that right. In the village of Furnas, they cook all kinds of stuff underground in the geothermal heat of volcanoes. Is this good food? Let's find out!

• Tour of Jardim e Palacio de Sant'Ana

  This is the seat of government and also a botanical garden, which means Casey is going to make Daniel come with him and read plaques. Help with admission and beer for Daniel.

• Parque Terra Nostra Hot Springs and Garden

  Help us live this White Woman's Fantasy at a botanical garden with 600 varieties of camellias and a natural geothermal pool.

• Underground in the Gruta do Carvao

  At an island this close to the Equator, the safest place for Daniel's Irish skin is deep underground in this extensive cave system. Help us gear up and join someone who knows what they're doing!

• Poca de Dona Beija Hot Springs Complex at Night

  This complex features five open-air hot spring rock pools lit up at night with spotlights. Romantic! Except sometimes hot springs smell like hard boiled eggs, so we'll see.

• Whale Watching!

  True story - when Casey was a kid, his parents took him whale watching near Cape Cod and he set off a chain reaction vomiting party for the entire ship. SECOND TIME'S THE CHARM?

• Beach Day and Seafood at Mosteiros

  Volcanic black sand beaches, natural rock pools, and killer seafood nearby. Help us spend a day swimming and then stuffing ourselves with fish.

• A Pilgrimage to the Igreja do Colegio

  The Jesuits were hard at work on gilding this beautiful church when Portugal expelled them in 1760 (hey that happens sometimes). Will Daniel and Casey burst into flames upon viewing? Let's find out!

• Forte de Sao Bras Museum

  This 16th century fort houses a museum of military architecture and Casey is going to want to go here.

• Kayak Caldiera das Siete Cidades

  A huge volcano blew up and turned into beautiful lakes! We're going to kayak in it. Take THAT, plate tectonics!

• Lunch at Siete Cidades Village

  Kayaking and hiking is going to work up a sweat. We're gonna have to refill those calories in this beautiful village, I guess!

• Guided Hike on the Azores

  The tallest point on the Azores is a huge stratovolcano that towers 8000 feet above sea level. Help us pay for permits and stock up on food for the trek.

• See some Stone Age Artwork

  Help cover the costs of a trek into the Vale do Coa to check out some Paleolithic rock art. As Daniel will tell Casey when we see it, "It's almost as old as you!"

• Beach Day at Praia de Conceiacao

  Beach Day! We'll take the train from Lisbon to this beautiful beach to increase our chances of getting skin cancer as we age!

• Book-shopping at the Livraria Lello

  Beloved children's author and notorious TERF J.K. Rowling wrote part of the Harry Potter books here and was inspired by the bookstore's interior. A portion of this gift will be donated to GLAAD.

• Dig Through Treasures at LX Market

  This enormous open-air flea market in Lisbon is guaranteed to fill Casey's suitcase with treasures and Daniel's head with anxiety about where he will put them.

• Mateus Rose Wine Adventure

  Mateus grapes grow only in this tiny region in northern Portugal and are not transported often because they're considered temperamental -- just like us when we're hangry!

• Lisbon Bike Tour on the Tejo Path

  We'll take a tour along the new bike path that runs along the Rio Tejo, ducking into cafes, bars, museums, and other fun places. Also, there's poetry printed on the path!

• Exploring the Waterfalls of Fisgas de Hermelo

  This park has cascading waterfalls, deep ravines, and Roman bridges. A little something for everyone!

• Lisboa Mass Transit Card

  Is this the most exciting Honeyfund gift on here? No. Will we absolutely 100% use this every single day we're in Lisbon? Yes.

• Catch a Show at the Casa da Musica

  We like the nightlife! We like to boogie! We'd also like to check out some live music at this landmark building designed by Rem Koolhaas.

• Backpacking in Montesinho Natural Park

  Help us spend some quality time in the highlands of northern Portugal. We'll stock up snacks and all the gear Casey forgot to pack.

• Alto Douro Winery Tour

  The Alto Douro is one of the oldest wine-producing regions in the world, and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. That means when we get drunk here, it's also a cultural exchange.

• Igreja de Sao Francisco Tour

  This 13th century church is massively decked out with over 100 kilograms of hand-applied gold leaf (that's over 220 pounds, America). It's as fabulous as we are!

  We've got a lot of places to stay ... help us make it extra awesome!

Honeymoon

Portugal

We're going to Portugal! First we will be heading to the Azores, a chain of volcanic islands in the middle of the Atlantic. We'll climb some volcanoes, enjoy beaches, and explore caves and hot springs and probably eat a lot of seafood. Then we'll head to mainland Portugal to spend time in Porto and Lisbon and everywhere in between. We are both very much looking forward to exploring this country for the first time and being very confused when we think we hear someone speaking Spanish but they're actually speaking Portuguese.
