D & T: As you may know, Jewish weddings end with someone(s) stepping on a glass. Scholars and fools have theories about why. Some say it's because even at our happiest, we're supposed to remember that nothing lasts forever. Others say the bride & groom's lust should last as long as it'd take to put the glass back together.
