We met back in 2011 at Camp Immokalee in Keystone Heights, Florida. We both lived in Florida at the time, before our move to North Carolina. We were both at staff training and Hannah needed help with her online training, so Roger decided to skip dinner with everyone else and stay back to help her with it (he did most of it). This is how we got to talk for the first time and got to know each other. For our first date, we went kayaking on the Saint John's River. Roger had brought a Sushi picnic for us to share. Hannah was so nervous that she did not eat much of it.. which had to be tossed into the river. It was just the start of our fun and crazy adventure. We shared years of so much love and laughter before making our move to North Carolina where we got engaged in 2021 at the boat house on the Biltmore Estate. Now, we live in so much happiness with our two sweet bunnies, Bourbun and Gin. We can’t thank you all enough for being part of our story!

We chose a non-traditional approach to getting married because we want to spend more time with the people we love and share this beautiful place we call home. You may want to join in all the fun we have planned or explore on your own. Friday June 21 at 2pm, we will head to one of Asheville’s finest breweries, Sierra Nevada. Here, you get your first peek at the new Mr.and Mrs. Smith. Choose from a variety of beers, ciders, wines and non-alcoholic beverages to toast the happy couple. Share stories, relax a bit, play some yard games. This time is all about connecting with loved ones. Dress is comfortable. No suits or uncomfortable shoes needed for this celebration. Stay as long as you like or explore more of Asheville as the couple depart for their first romantic dinner as a married couple.  Saturday June 22, at noon, we will be enjoying wine tasting at the beautiful POINT LOOKOUT VINEYARDS . Not a wine drinker? That’s ok. Come to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There are beer and non-alcohol options as well as well as small bites. Sunday, June 23, 10 am is when we really show off the spirit of the mountains. For those adventurous friends and family, we will tube the Green River. Expect some relaxation and some exhilarating tubers rapids. Bring a picnic for afterwards or enjoy the food truck. Sorry folks. No alcohol allowed on the river.

There are many hotel options in Asheville, but they can be expensive. We recommend Air B&B. Convenient areas to Asheville are Weaverville, Woodfin, West Asheville, North Asheville, Biltmore Forest, Mills River and Bent Creek. They are 30 minutes from Asheville or less.
