Our Story We first met in the Summer of 2016. And no, it wasn’t Love at first sight, but it was something! I would invite myself to his work and family functions as he told me of his whereabouts. Our chemistry was effortless, we became very close. We prayed together, we talked, we ate, we listened to music, we laughed and just had fun. This was the start of a beautiful and lasting friendship. We remember a few times random strangers, would ask, “How long have you been dating?” We would both look at each other, laugh and respond “We’re just friends.” One Sunday afternoon we went to a restaurant and the server asked us how long we've been dating? we casually responded, "we're just friends." He looked at Deshoy and started to laugh, we looked at each other like what's so funny? Then he said to Deshoy “oh so you’re one of those guys…." At some point we were tired at being laughed at, so naturally 7 years later we ended up here on this journey of marriage, love and purpose!
