Our journey will begin by exploring Santiago and the neighboring beach town of Valparaiso, then catch a flight south to backpack through the Patagonian wilderness. We'll finish our trip in the northern part of the country to sightsee in the Atacama desert.

On this adventure, we'll be exploring the largest geyser field in the Southern Hemisphere and third-largest in the world. We'll soak in the hot springs while geysers erupt around us.

Pablo Neruda Home Tour - Valparaiso
Pablo Neruda was a world-renowned poet and won the Nobel Prize of Literature in 1971. We'll take a tour of his eclectic home in Valparaiso situated on a hill that overlooks the entire city.

Red Rocks and Lagoons!
Here we'll explore an area of red volcanic rock set against a backdrop of salty lagoons and snow-capped mountains. We'll have the chance to see a variety of wildlife, including flamingoes!

Pablo Neruda Home Tour - Santiago
Pablo Neruda was a world-renowned poet and won the Nobel Prize of Literature in 1971. We will take a tour of his eclectic home in Santiago that served as a romantic getaway for him and his wife.

Day 1 Backpacking Torres Del Paine National Park
Day #1 of backpacking in Patagonia! Today we'll hike to the famous Mirador Base de las Torres (lookout at the base of the towers) then camp overnight at Chileno.

Day 2 Backpacking Torres Del Paine National Park
Day 2: From the Chileno camp, we will hike between Nordenskjöld Lake and the base of the Paine Mountains to the Los Cuernos campground. Hopefully we'll see some Guanaco here :)

Day 3 Backpacking Torres Del Paine National Park
Day 3: This will be our most challenging day, with the greatest altitude gain and mileage. We will be rewarded with views of Británico Lookout, then rest up at Frances campground.

Day 4 Backpacking Torres Del Paine National Park
Day 4: From Frances, we hike past Sköttsberg Lake to Paine Grande campground, with the tallest mountain of the group, Cerro Paine Grande, looming beside.

Day 5 Backpacking Torres Del Paine National Park
Day 5: Our shortest (and final) day of hiking, we'll set off to Refugio Gray, following along the shore of Grey Lake towards the incredible Grey Glacier.

Day 6 Backpacking Torres Del Paine National Park
Day 6: Our final day in the park, we'll leisurely watch the sunrise and reflect on our journey. We will take a catamaran that circles the Grey Glacier to Gray Ranger station, then bus back to town.
