Congratulations!! Amanda, remember... Hanauma Bay (Oahu - bring your snorkel), Haleakala summit (Maui - drive up through the clouds a couple of hours prior to the most beautiful sunrise you'll ever see), and the Wailua River Cruise (Kauai - it's a 2-mile trip up the only navigable river in the state of Hawaii, and it will take you to the beautiful Fern Grotto, where the wedding took place in Elvis Presley's "Blue Hawaii.") More Information
For our out of town guests, we recommend either staying at the Florence Marina State Park in one of their cabins or at a hotel either in Eufaula, AL or Columbus, GA. The Florence Marina is a state park that has gorgeous waterfront views and walking trails around the park. It's a super safe, affordable and quiet location approximately 20 minutes from Lumpkin. On your way to and from Lumpkin from the marina, you will catch sights of The Little Grand Canyon. Hotels in both Eufaula, AL and Columbus, GA are approximately 35 - 45 minutes away from Lumpkin and will provide you with all amenities that a big city provides. If you elect to get a hotel or Airbnb in Columbus, please make sure you are staying at a hotel north of Macon Road. Macon Road, Buena Vista Road, St. Mary's Road, Victory Drive and South Veterans Parkway are no go zones. :)
