As you know, we’ve never been big on doing things “by the book.” So, after much conversation, we decided eloping was the move for us. After, we’ll be sneaking off to a cozy dinner with our immediate family at historic Gage & Tollner Chophouse for steaks and martinis. We have been overwhelmed by how many of you have asked what you can do in lieu of the whole wedding fanfare. The truth is: Jill’s kitchen already looks like a Williams-Sonoma annex and we’ve got enough knick-knacks to open a museum. What we don’t have is a ticket to Peru—our dream honeymoon. So, while gifts are by no means expected, if you feel moved, we’d be thrilled if you helped us trade gravy boats for Machu Picchu. But absolutely, positively, no pressure! We have plans to see the majority of you over the holiday season where we can toast together to our nuptials. We would not be who we are or where we are today without all of your love and support over the course of our lives.
