Honeymoon

Prague, Czech Republic

Not gonna lie - we are nervous about leaving Cody and Herbie for so long. It will be the longest trip we have taken without them in more than 4 years. That aside, it's also our first trip out of the country in more than 7 years and we are excited! We will make stops in Budapest, Prague. Copenhagen and probably one or two more towns. There's so much to see and we are excited about the Christmas markets.

• Grand Budapest Hotel

  Ok so we aren’t really staying in the hotel from the movie. But we can’t wait to spend three nights in this unique city that’s actually two cities combined!

• Christmas Market souvenirs / snacks

  We'll visit Christmas markets in multiple cities and would love to enjoy tasting local treats or picking up souvenirs to remember our adventure.

• Szenchyi baths day pass

  We'll each have a 90-minute massage followed by a relaxing facial or mud soak and a soak in the mineral salt bath

• Prague castle

  The Prague castle is a complex that includes the palace, cathedral, basilica and gardens.

• 1 day of our eurail train passes

  We will take the train between cities and within cities. It will help us get from here to there and everywhere. (Like Roy Kent)

• Hotel in Old Town Bratislava

  We look forward to staying 1 night in Bratislava, Slovakia so we can explore this ancient town.

• Prague hotel

  We’ll be staying 2-3 nights in Prague as the last leg or our journey.

• Danube - evening boat ride

  A romantic cruise on the famous Danube River.

• Copenhagen Hotel

  We have a one day stop in Copenhagen en route. We plan to stay in the city center close to the train station since we will hop the rail to and from the airport.

• Nutcracker Ballet

  We would love to see the Nutcracker Ballet at the National Theater in Prague.

• Sidetrip - Bratislava

  We will take a side trip from Bratislava, Slovakia through the countryside, making our way to Budapest, Hungary.

• Street food

  If you know Chris, you know he is going to want to try some traditional street food while Janina will be seeking out sweets. She already has her eye on the local treats knows as chimney cake!

• Dinner

  We will celebrate with local dinners after long travel days.

• Guided Tours

  We will look for guided tours in some cities or join the hop on hop off bus tours to get more familiar with the local sights.

• Spa Day

  We are expecting to have tired feet from lots of walking, so we will treat ourselves to a massage here and there.
