Rayden and I have finally decided that we will be tying the knot this year. After much discussion, we realize that having a huge wedding and reception just isn’t in the cards for us. Instead, just the two of us will be in Japan saying our “I do’s” in October of this year (2025), which will also be our honeymoon. As much as we would have loved all of our family and friends to surround us on our special day, a big wedding and reception is a lot of planning and can be expensive. We know that this may be disappointing to some of you folks who were hoping to make it to our wedding, but know that we appreciate every single one of you who have been a part of our lives. Whether you are family, an aunty or uncle, friend, coworker, have known us our entire lives, or just for a few months, we are grateful for the connections and relationships we have made over the years and will always cherish the love that everyone has shown us. Some of you have been asking if Rayden and I have a registry, or if we are accepting monetary gifts. We figured we would create this registry page in order to allow those who would like to contribute to our wedding/honeymoon Japan trip, and towards our future together. Please know that Rayden and I are not expecting anything, nor do we want our friends and family to feel obligated to contribute in this way. Instead, we are providing this page for those who would like to contribute in this manner. There is also a section towards the bottom of this page where people can contribute to specific things such as flights, hotel accommodations, activities, etc. Any funds left over will be used towards our future together. Please make sure to sign our guest book which is located at the very bottom of this webpage. It gives you the option to leave a small message, and if possible please leave your name and email address. ~Our Story~ Rayden and I have been dating since November 10th, 2017. Before that, the two of us have known each other since middle school in 2009, where we attended Waimanalo Elementary and Intermediate together. Depending on which of us you ask, we will both say that the other was an absolute menace. But no matter how much teasing or banter went on between us, we remained friends until we went separate ways when transitioning to high school. I attended Kamehameha (Imua blue and white!), while Rayden went to Kailua High School (which Rayden swears is the true blue and white school.... debatable). That is where we lost contact, until after we graduated and reconnected with the help of mutual friends. During late nights after work, I would end up in Rayden's family's garage talking story with him and our friends, playing cards, and watching tv shows. Occasionally all of us would end up going to the movie theater or another outing which resulted with Rayden and I growing closer and closer. I wasn't sure whether Rayden was developing feelings, or if I was misreading the signs. That was up until one of our friends spilled the beans to me after a party, where our friend informed me that Rayden did have feelings. I wasn't sure what to do with the information that was just revealed. In fact, I ended up pondering at the question "what should I do?" for a few months. "Should I take a chance? Should I not? What if our friend was wrong?" I had a lot more time to think about these questions since my grandma and I took a trip to France on a river boat cruise, which was interesting since I ended up being the youngest passenger aboard. I was accompanied by elderly couples who were enjoying their time together in their later stages in life, which was a beautiful thing to witness. Although I was surrounded by beautiful buildings and landmarks, historical artwork, and delicious food, the only thing I could think of in those moments was "I wish Rayden was here with me." The day I came home was the day that Rayden was no longer able to get rid of me (poor guy). I came over and hung out everyday, hoping that my persistent presence wasn't annoying and that it would work some magic. I came home on the 2nd of November from my trip, and it took 8 days for Rayden and I to become a couple. It was at Waimanalo Beach where Rayden had asked me to be his girlfriend, and 5 years later in the same place on New Years Day, he asked me to be his wife❤️
