Bali

referred to as the Island of the Gods by some. We’ll likely arrive late in the day so our first full day we'd like to venture into central Bali get our first taste of Balinese Hindu temples. The plan is to Explore Taman Ayun, a beautiful and serene temple surrounded by a moat. Visit Tanah Lot, a Hindu temple that sits atop an offshore rock formation and houses a spring of holy water. We will head to a farming village in Subak Guilang. During our trip we’d like to take a Cooking Class at Guliang Village + Ubud Monkey Forest. Where we will learn all about Balinese cooking and their food culture, we heard there’s no better place to go than a farming village. More specifically, a village called Subak Guilang. We will be Gathering the ingredients, preparing the food, and treating our taste buds to incredible Balinese flavors. We'll venture into the rice fields and learn why the Balinese people view rice as a gift from God. Travel to Ubud, one of Bali’s most popular destinations and the island’s hub of art and culture and get to know some Balinese monkeys in Ubud Monkey Forest. Later in the week we would love to start our morning with Yoga. This yoga studio and holistic healing retreat is located right in the center of Bali. Then in the afternoon, we will enjoy a tour of some of Bali’s most important Hindu temples, enjoy overlooking rice fields and studying the many menacing faces carved into the stone at the temple of Goa Gajan. We'll end our temple tour at Tampak Siring, where we can purify our body in the temple’s holy water. On day 7 we will Awaken our senses as we ride through the jungle in an off-road vehicle to the starting point of our river adventure. We will be heading to the Siap River and hop in a tube and let the river do its thing, no paddling needed and experience its beauty from a unique perspective in our private inflatable tube. After Tubing we will Enjoy an included Lunch during our Canyon Tubing adventure, open our eyes and ears for the sights and sounds of the wilderness. Then finish with the Campuhan Ridge walk, a truly mellow and inspiring hike. We will Enjoy your last morning in Ubud. Then travel by bus to Tanjung Benoa, where we’ll spend our final two nights in Bali. Then We’ll Travel to Nusa Dua and Mt. Batur hike & hot springs. We will see the sunrise from Mt. Batur. Then in the afternoon, our journey through Bali continues to the Benoa peninsula, famous for its restaurants, open-air cafes, and beaches. Our last day will be in Nusa Dua + Visit Uluwatu Temple at Sunset We’ll Head out for an evening at Uluwatu Temple, a sea temple perched high on a steep cliff that Looks out at the setting sun and crashing waves of the Indian Ocean from 230 feet up. Well sit back and watch a traditional Balinese dance at our farewell dinner.
