We are Garrett and Desiree. We overcame distance to build a life together, our journey is marked by dreams that never fade. Our connection began in a remarkable way, evolving against all odds, and soon we envisioned a life free from separation. We've learned that uncertainties can be managed, and now we stand at the beginning of a story, centered on a shared vision. Our dreams are a small house, homestead, garden; a place for our little black cat to explore. Raising chickens, goats, and nurturing a meaningful atmosphere for Garrett's sons. It's about creating a haven for cooking, creating, hosting, and finding solace amid life's challenges. Now, we embark on this path, which begins with the transformation of a 1999 school bus. This project mirrors our commitment to our shared goal--living an intentional, authentic life. Our promise is captured in the concept of brackets. From the outset of our relationship to the present, our journey has been characterized by leaps of faith and unwavering commitment to each other. Our bus conversion project aligns seamlessly with this spirit. Our goal isn't a permanent tiny home, but rather a few years of financial flexibility—savings, debt reduction, and simplification—laying the foundation for the realization of future dreams. Your support fuels and empowers this endeavor. In gratitude, we're eager to reciprocate with a handmade token of our appreciation. Crafting together has always been our joy, and we're thrilled to offer a range of creations, from handcrafted cold-pressed soaps and unique ornaments to enchanting wands and wand boxes, propagation stations, infused olive oil bursting with flavor, and a chapbook brimming with musings, metaphors, and cherished memories. Help us create our dream wedding and honeymoon experience with any amount of donation!

• Flooring

  The first step in our build! In order to support local while building our bus, we have opted to floor our space in locally milled tulip poplar--a lovely hardwood that will last for years.

• Walls

  Help us get started on the interior structure! Insulating the outer walls, framing, and paneling are a vital step in building our space out.

• Electrical

  Lights! And more. Electrical elements from breaker box to LED lighting will be essential for our day to day life and comfort.

• Plumbing

  From plumbing a trough tub to kitchen sink, pipes are nice! Help us plumb our bus for nice hot baths on cold winter days, or whatever may come.

• General Appliances

  Fridge, stove, washer/dryer, these are all pretty important creature comforts. We would love to find deals on used items, but may not have time. New will help our build and install time be reduced.

• HVAC

  No one wants to be hot in summer and cold in winter and heating/cooling in a bus is no small task. Help keep us at the perfect temperature all year-round with this reliable mini split system.

• Woodstove

  Our only solely splurge item: a catalytic wood stove. Made to heat longer and burn safer, we dream of curling up on the couch during a snowy winter day next to a Regency F1150.
